The Geffrye Museum
We went to the Geffrye Museum in London which is a very unusual museum. It is all about the home throughout the ages and has various room sets in it from all different time periods starting with the oldest at the beginning (Stuart) to the newest at the end (Nineties).
Here are the rooms in order:
This was a weird painting!:
This shows an internal map of a Victorian/Edwardian house. It is just the same as my Nana and Grandad’s house.
This was a fascinating museum but there was very little to do for children. When my Mummy used to go here when she was little, there was lots of worksheets that she used to fill out. She had to find the certain objects in each of the room sets and run up and down to find them and then answer the questions. I think the museum needs to employ a new Education Officer. Apart form that, it was a good day out and an unusual museum to visit in London. Oh, and there were some lovely gardens around the back.
